Nepenthes maxima is a highly variable and vigorous species from Sulawesi and New Guinea. This is the superbly distinctive extreme wavy-leaf form, selected from the assorted clones formerly sold under BE-3543 as having the deepest red leaf colouration. Both the pitcher body and peristome have red stripes on a yellow background, as the photos show. This item is from the same grex of seeds as another clone sometimes sold under BE-3907 but is significantly different in both pitcher shape and coloration.
Plants shipped are of the same clone as shown in these photos. Plant is in 68mm squat pot for scale, will be shipped in pot.
