An amazing and giant hybrid. The are pseudo-leaf blade is peltate (shield shape) and seem to easily blush a dark red. The pitchers themselves are spotty and red with peristomes that age to a dark red.
The female parent is one of the four clones of N. rajah, originating with Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and sold under BE-3152. The male parent is a seed-grown plant of N. peltata, selected for the particularly striking red coloration to the underside of its leaves.
