N. veitchii x maxima and N. maxima x veitchii are some of the most successful primary hybrids. This line was bred using a selected seed-grown plant of the wavy-leaf form of Nepenthes maxima and BE reports that all individuals have shown some level of wavy-leaf characteristics. This line is highly variable, just like N. veitchii and N. maxima, showing variable peristome colour, pitcher body colour, and level of colouration throughout the leaf.
