Arguably one of the most famous of the Nepenthes species; Nepenthes lowii has evolved to attract tree shrews and birds with its sugary and laxative exudate so that it can feed on their droppings.

Nepenthes lowii is known for having extremely tough purple/green pitchers. It is a slow growing epiphytic species that grows in the upper montane forests of Borneo.

This line is a single clone from Borneo Exotics. The first photo is an example juvenile from Borneo Exotics. The second photo is an example of one of our plants grown for sale to a small size (68mm pot for scale).
